I lb. lean hamburger or ground turkey
12 oz. diced potatoes
1/2 c. each carrots, celery & onions, chopped
4 oz. rice
4 tsp. margarine
1-28 oz. can tomatoes, quartered, w/ juice
1/2 large head cabbage, cut into wedges
1-1/2 quarts water
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper |
- In margarine, saut� cooked hamburger, carrots, celery, onion and rice until
vegetables are tender.
- Add remaining ingredients.
- Simmer 3 to 4 hours.
This is even better if allowed to cool, refrigerated, and reheated the next day.
